A New Frontier
Though painting is my primary medium through the years I have explored many tools to create art. Below are some examples of work created using the Adobe suite. Each piece is very different as I was learning a new aspect of the suite with each work. Rather than finished pieces most of these images demonstrate a new skill and experience. In culture today we often value the finished product much more than the journey to create it; these works demonstrate my journey to acquire a new set of skills, boldly going where I had not gone before. (sorry I just had to.)
In this work I created a logo and accompanying business card, post card, envelope and letter for a fictional company.
Scarlet Letter was a view card and description for a font I created of the same name based on my handwriting.
In this work "Invasion", I want to both inform and create a dialog with the viewer regarding a fish species, lion fish, which have invaded the Caribbean Sea and are causing widespread damage to the reefs and marine life in the area. Growing up in the Cayman Islands I spent much of life in the ocean exploring all the life therein. Culturally there is a love and respect for the sea throughout the nations of the Caribbean and the invasion of lion fish is an issue I am very passionate about. Lion fish are not native to the Caribbean and are thought to have come to the Caribbean through human action, potentially through the release of these common aquarium fish into the ocean when abandoned by their owners. Lion fish have no natural enemies and their populations continue to grow, they also have large appetites and have been found with up to 30 smaller reef fish in their stomachs. Battling their populations has become a task for each nation and through hard work many are seeing population decline after many years.
This work is about more than the lion fish invasion but also about the devastating effects we as humans can have on our environment if we are careless. I hope that this work allows the viewer to consider how their actions affect the world we all share.

I created this infographic to provide an easy to view and understand look at slavery across the globe. Slavery is often something we associate with the past and therefore distance ourselves from, however slavery still occurs across the world; often unnoticed in our own towns. Slavery today primarily consists of women and children who are often kidnapped, sold by poor families or deceived into the industry. There are many organizations who are making great strides to free enslaved individuals, though bringing those responsible for their enslavement to justice remains difficult. This work serves to bring the viewer's attention to an industry they might not know exists with the hope that bringing this industry to light will help us finally see an end to slavery world wide.
In this work I developed a fictional winery "Vivere Liberare" or Living Release and created an accompanying logo as well as package and labeling templates then built the templates for demonstration and display.
